Hi! My name is Andie L. I am a senior in high school in the suburbs of Chicago and am going to UCLA in the fall. Basically, I made this blog to channel my excitement over new, healthy foods. My relationship with food has been rocky for all of high school, probably at its peak whenever it was rowing season (I rowed for 3 years), but I never learned how to efficiently fuel myself.
I just recently figured it out. I switched from reading celebrity sites to food blogs (such as the Fitnessista, Oh She Glows, Kath Eats, and Heather Eats Almond Butter). These four were my main source of food inspiration, until I began to figure out what my body craves.
I am always hungry! I try to work out at least 5 times a week, usually 6. I LOVE breakfast. I love going to comfortable. I used to be the type who would eat super late at night, wake up with a crammed stomach, and feel weird throughout the day. Now, I look forward to waking up and eating great meals.
I had a long relationship with Splenda, which I just broke up. Also corn syrup. Now I eat alot of protein, alot of veggies and fruit, and only whole grains! I drastically reduced my dairy intake (except for nonfat Greek yogurt) and cut out almost all white flour. I feel better than I have ever felt, ever.
